Sydney’s Best Rockin’ Rooftops

As Sydney heating up with summer, there’s only one place to go and that is UP! This city is prime for brunch, lunch, or just drinks on one of its many rooftops and one of the best in town is the Quarrymans Hotel in Pyrmont. Styled in the theme of Palm Springs, California, this rooftop is ripe with cacti and succulents, modern art, and plenty of neon. The menu is equally inspired by the US, with many Tex-Mex dishes such as chunky guacamole and chicken tacos. There are also burgers, and for the health conscious, a fresh salmon poke bowl.

Just across town, in downtown Darlinghurst, is the East Village Sydney and another rockin’ rooftop bar! The theme on this rooftop is botanicals, with plenty of greenery that creates a tropical oasis in the heart of the city. The menu is fresh and international, with standout dishes like the Bibimbap- a Korean dish that mixes rice, vegetables, kimchi, and is topped with a fried egg. There’s also plenty of seafood dishes- from the WA crab toast to the wild barramundi. And for red meat lovers, the peppered eye steak fillet is hard to beat.

So, next time you’re looking to escape the hot city pavements, just head to a rockin’ rooftop bar!
