NSW has fourteen, fabulous wine regions and visiting the vineyards, and wineries, is a fantastic experience. But what if you could experience some of the state’s finest drops, all under the one roof, without leaving town? The Urban Winery, in The Entertainment Quarter in Sydney’s Moore Park, allows you to do just that, without leaving the city!
Owner-operator, and passionate winemaker Alex Retief, offers many experiences, all under the one roof. There’s the Cellar Door and Wine Bar, where you can sample wines from Alex’s label as well as some of his favourite cool climate wines from NSW, and the winery can also be hired out as an event space for a wedding or party.
For those keen to learn more about wine, and the wine-making process, Alex also runs a range of in-house experiences, from winery tours, to Chef X Winemaker Long Lunches, Barrel Tasting, Grape Stomping and more!
