Island Radio is the brainchild of best friends, who wanted to combine the best of south-east Asian cuisine and cultures into one Sydney-based restaurant concept. Modelled on the playful and colourful diners found across south-east Asia, Island Radio brings the spice, and the vibes, with a revolving roster of top DJ’s pumping out the tunes! And cranking out delicious south-east Asian bites and sharing plates, is Andy Wirya and his team.
The restaurant is divided into two sections. The front ‘noodle house’ is perfect for a quick dinner or snack, which can be enjoyed at the full cocktail bar. For a more elevated dining experience, head out back to the main ‘eating house’ where you can settle in for a long lunch, or dinner. Signature dishes worth trying include the scallop silks with Andy’s sambal, and raw kingfish skewers. Larger plates such as the yellow rock flathead curry, and the wagyu beef rendang with toasted coconut make for a fabulous feast!
