Martinez & KASBAH

When you live, or visit, a city as beautiful as Sydney, the best place to eat out is on a rooftop!

The city has had an explosion of rooftop bars of late, and one of the best is Martinez, located in the Quay Quarter. Channelling the south of France, and the Mediterranean coast, Martinez is perfect for alfresco drinks and dining. Dishes are designed for sharing and include raw scallops with white soy, and fennel pollen, and a shaved pork collar mustard with daikon and comte. For more substantial dishes, just step inside the main restaurant.

Just across town, in Darlinghurst, there’s another fabulous rooftop bar, above The Strand Hotel. KASBAH has a Moroccan-French vibe, with cushioned seats and Moroccan tiles, and cocktails curated by Maybe Sammy. The menu also reflects the regions, with stand-out offerings such as yellowfin tuna crudo, with piquillo peppers, spiced tiger prawns, and a duck, pistachio and burnt honey pastilla.

Two fantastic rooftops to check out, in the heart of the city, and a guaranteed sky-high dining experience!
