Spring at the Opera House

Spring has sprung, and it’s the school holidays, which means it’s the perfect time to take your little people to see a show at the Sydney Opera House!

Boasting a jam-packed spring program, the Sydney Opera House- or the ‘people’s house’ as it’s affectionately known- has something to suit all ages and tastes with free and ticketed events. Highlights include Edward the Emu- a heart-warming story of an emu and his feathered friends who share a hilarious journey, while discovering the true secret to happiness is embracing who you are. There’s also Waru, Bangarra’s very first dedicated work for children, which follows Migi, the small sea turtle in a journey of discovery and survival, introducing kids to Torres Strait Islander culture, as well as important themes such as climate change. There’s also a range of fantastic, interactive workshops for kids including the Sydney Rock Lobster Shake, where kids get to create their own nautical- themed costumes, and then rock out in their creations, under the sails of the Sydney Opera House!
