It’s the festival that puts Sydney up in lights, and Vivid Sydney 2026 is really turning it on for the next few weeks. New festival director Brett Sheehy has added a whole range of elements, including events happening during the day for the first time.
Immersive children’s theatre show, Wonderverse is on at the Australian National Maritime Museum, blending lighting technology, theatre elements and good old-fashioned fun. The show will run in the evening but they also have morning sessions for the little ones on selective days.
This year, the iconic festival hub Vivid Fire Kitchen has moved to Barangaroo Reserve and marks the mid-point of the Light Walk which runs from Circular Quay to Tumbalong Park. You’ll find sensational food showcasing the multicultural delights from all over Sydney, as well as live events with chef talks and more.
Other highlights include the performance Cristal Palace taking place on the Sydney Opera House forecourt, and 23 nights of live music on stage at Tumbalong Park. That’s not to mention the extensive program of international artists and mind -expanding talks.
Come and be part of the world’s most highly attended arts festival. Plan your Vivid adventure now.
